Gemini for Google TV and Android Auto is almost here

Back in May at Google I/O 2025, Google officially confirmed that Gemini's support for Android Auto and Google TV is coming. But then it only offered a "coming soon" timeline, which was quite vague, frankly. Google is now offering more details regarding the availability, which is more specific. The support for Google's AI chatbot on Google TV and Android Auto could just be a few weeks away, as things stand.

Gemini for Android Auto and Google TV is coming soon

At the 'Made by Google' event, where the company launched the Pixel 10 series, the new Journal app, and other announcements, the company's executive, Rick Osterloh, said that Gemini is coming to your car and TV this fall. Google is also adding speakers and smart displays to the mix. "It's a big deal, it's got to be everywhere that you are," said Rick.

Again, the "fall" timeline is not exactly pinpointing the date or week; it's slightly more specific and better than "coming soon." We are likely to see Gemini come to Android Auto and Google TV sometime in September, October, or November.

Gemini is going to be everywhere

The comment is also confirmation enough that Gemini's debut on Google TV isn't that far either. Google first teased the arrival of Gemini to TVs around early 2025, with the timeline "later this year." The long wait is finally coming to an end soon, as the fall timeline is around the corner.

Gemini will soon be everywhere. The company accidentally revealed a new smart speaker with Gemini support at the Pixel 10 launch event. This speaker will come in four colors, with the glowing light located at the bottom. This should light up when you're having conversations with Gemini. It will have a fabric finish just like Google's Nest Mini and Apple HomePod Mini.
