ADNOC places order for Blackline Safety's connected safety devices

Energy producer Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has taken a step towards enhancing worker safety by placing its first order for connected safety technology from Blackline Safety.

This order is part of a larger multi-year agreement that could see up to 28,000 Blackline devices, along with services, deployed within ADNOC facilities.

The initial purchase includes approximately 1,000 G6 wearable single-gas detectors, serviceable for four years, and 1,200 Blackline Location Beacons, designed to improve indoor location signals.

ADNOC produces more than four million barrels of oil per day and substantial volumes of natural gas.

Andrea Lamond, interim vice-president of international sales and vice-president of growth operations at Blackline Safety, said: "This first order under the new agreement with ADNOC is an important milestone in our multi-year growth strategy in the Middle East."

Blackline's connected safety ecosystem integrates wearable technology, cloud-hosted software, and 24/7 live monitoring to protect workers.

The G6 device is known for its single-gas detection capability, long-lasting connectivity and comprehensive safety features.

It provides hazardous gas detection and real-time location data, which is crucial for quick emergency response.

Blackline Location Beacons complement this by improving location accuracy in areas where GPS may be unreliable.

Over the past three years, Blackline Safety's presence in the Middle East has expanded, with its connected safety solutions being adopted by energy companies in the region.
